Founded in 2017, Liberty Music Academy was created with one mission in mind: providing top-notch music education to students across the United State through passionate instructors that are held accountable. Our team currently offers lessons for piano, voice, guitar, bass, violin, and drums. Since we started, we’ve served hundreds of students across DFW, and continuing to grow quickly as we take on students across 50 states.
We have meticulously tested a plethora of teaching curriculum pertaining to the instruments we teach to ensure that our students develop not only a love of music but also a complete understanding of it. We also provide students and parents with additional resources that encourage optimal learning and practice techniques to catapult progress forward. Each of our resources is accessed in our Student Portal that also allows you to sync your lesson calendar with your phone, make easy online payments, save instructor contact information, and reschedule lessons in advance.
With us, you don’t have to worry about messy paperwork, because there isn’t any. We don’t require any contract to get started on helping your child get a quality music education. We also offer a flexible twenty-four-hour cancellation policy. You even get to try out our service before you commit, as we offer a trial lesson for your family.
STUDENT INFORMATION & LESSON POLICY
SUGGESTED BEGINNING AGES FOR MUSIC LESSONS: Violin: 4 years old; Piano: 1st grade; Guitar: 2nd grade; Drums: 2nd grade; Voice class and Bass: 5th grade.
PRIVATE LESSONS & SMALL GROUP CLASSES: We offer both private lessons in-home and online. Private Lessons offer students one-to-one individualized instruction for 30, or 60 minutes once weekly.
SCHEDULING: Lessons are offered year-round. All scheduling is done through the office. To request a change of lesson time, please speak with someone in our office. Instructors cannot make schedule changes.
LESSONS MISSED BY STUDENTS are not refundable. Teachers will offer a Makeup Class each month for students who have missed lessons. Teachers are paid for their contracted time, even in a student’s absence. When possible, please inform the office in advance of any missed lessons. Students arriving late will not have their lesson time extended. In the event that a teacher must be absent, a substitute will be provided. If a substitute is not available, the lesson will be rescheduled.
ORIENTATION: There is an Orientation scheduled for a portion of the first lesson. During this orientation, parents and students will meet with the instructor to discuss lesson details and expectations. New students are asked to arrive 5 minutes early to be sure necessary paperwork is completed.
EXPECTATIONS: Students are encouraged to arrive at least 5 minutes before their scheduled lesson time. Bring all books, assignments, and materials necessary to be prepared for each lesson. It is also essential for music students to put in the necessary practice time at home. Students who are the most successful are those who complete their weekly practice assignments and arrive at their lesson ready to learn!
BOOKS AND MATERIALS: As a convenience to our students, books and other materials may be suggested by our school.
SPECIAL ASSISTANCE TO ENSURE SUCCESS: Should an instructor sense that a student needs additional instruction with class assignments, it may be necessary to schedule additional private lessons to address specific challenges and help the student stay on task. These lessons will be scheduled at the request of the instructor as an addition to the weekly private lesson, and the standard lesson rate will apply.
